Eligibility - Open to all high school students 

  • Participants can join individually or in teams of up to 3 members.
  • No prior experience in game development is required—beginners are welcome!
  • All participants must agree to the Code of Conduct.

Project and Submission Requirements - Your submission must be a playable one-button game created during the hackathon.

 

Additional submission materials:

  • 1–2 minute video demo showcasing gameplay
  • Project description (concept, mechanics, tools used)
  • Optional: screenshots or GIFs
  • Submissions must follow the one-button input constraint and be original work.

Prizes - 

1st Place: $60 giftcard of choice

2nd Place: $25 giftcard of choice

3rd Place: $15 giftcard of choice

 

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection - 

Submissions will be judged by a panel based on the following criteria:

  1. Creativity & Originality (30%) – How unique and innovative is your concept?
  2. Gameplay & Fun (30%) – Is the game engaging and enjoyable to play?
  3. Polish & Presentation (20%) – Quality of visuals, sound, and overall presentation
  4. Adherence to One-Button Rule (20%) – Does the game fully comply with the single-input constraint?
  5. Winners will be announced at the end of the hackathon, and judges’ decisions are final.
